Saudi Arabia eases visa requirements for Pakistani tourists

Saudi Arabia has relaxed the visit visa conditions for Pakistani tourists. Under the new conditions, Pakistani tourists can now submit a bank statement of US$ 750 per month credit or an equivalent amount to obtain a Saudi visit visa.

43 percent more Pakistani tourists visited Saudi Arabia in 2023 than last year and 2.7 million Pakistani tourists are expected to visit Saudi Arabia in 2024. 

To facilitate this increasing number of tourists, 6 publicity offices have been established in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and Multan.

Saudi Arabia has also introduced a transit visa for Pakistanis, which is available for passengers coming to Saudi Arabia through Saudi Airlines and FlyNass. 

Tourists will be able to visit Saudi Arabia for 96 hours through this visa. In addition, visa on arrival is available to travelers who hold UK, US and Schengen visas.

Saudi Arabia has also introduced a one-year multiple entry visa for Pakistani travelers last year. Under this visa, travelers can enjoy the culture and natural wonders of different cities of the country during multiple visits to Saudi Arabia within a year.

Pakistani travelers with a one-year multiple-entry visa can also perform Umrah. This move highlights Saudi Arabia’s commitment to promoting spiritual journeys to holy places and mutual culture.

The visa facilitation initiative will encourage Pakistani citizens not only to visit their friends and family and perform Umrah, but also to explore the vibrant city scene of Riyadh, the cultural heritage of Jeddah, the hidden treasures of the Red Sea. There will also be an incentive to visit Saudi Arabia to places like the ancient wonders of Al-Ula.
