Professor Abid Farooq, known as ‘Professor Baaghi’ passed away due to brain hemorrhage.

Funeral prayers will be offered today at 3:30 pm at Mayani Sahib Cemetery, Lytton Road. Hailing from Lahore, Professor Abid Farooq, better known as Professor Baghi, is known for his humorous and unique style of analysis. He had been associated with the popular talk show ‘Khabanaak’ for a long time and later worked in the show with renowned journalist, host, and analyst Aftab Iqbal.

Professor Abid Farooq was also given the title of Professor Baghi by the well-known journalist Aftab Iqbal who later became famous due to him.  According to sources, Prof. Abid Farooq had been undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of the hospital for the last few days due to a brain hemorrhage. In a post released on social media on December 11, his family requested prayers from friends and loved ones.
