3 Doctors & 2 SHOs suspended after finding dead bodies from Nishtar Hospital
Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi took action on the Nishtar Hospital Multan incident after receiving the initial inquiry report and suspended 3 doctors, 3 employees and 2 SHOs of the respective police stations responsible for negligence.
The Chief Minister ordered the removal of Professor Dr. Maryam Ashraf, Dr. Abdul Wahab and Dr. Seerat Abbas from their posts.
SHO Police Station Shah Rukn Alam Colony Umar Farooq and SHO Police Station Setal Mari Saeed Syal have been suspended.
The employees of Nishtar Medical University Multan, Ghulam Abbas, Muhammad Sajjad Nasir and Abdul Rauf were also suspended.
Chief Minister Pervez Elahi also ordered action under the PEDA Act against those responsible for negligence.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that in any case such treatment of dead bodies is not acceptable, no matter how much this heinous incident is condemned.
